Standard Wedding Service

Our standard service includes all the essentials you'll need for an amazing party. It's designed to minimise costs by including everything you'll need for a 'normal' size wedding or party.

  • 6pm arrival as standard, enough time to set-up and kick the party off from around 8pm
  • We will learn your first dance request and perform it live, provided we feel we can do it justice (see FAQs for more info)
  • Perform 3 different 40-minute sets of live music, each one modelled around a classic festival experience
  • We give you full control over which 3 sets are played, allowing you to customise the event to your friends and family
  • Anytime after soundcheck that we are not playing live, we will have music playing through our powerful PA system to ensure that the party doesn't stop!
  • We can customise the playlist that we use between band sets to include your recommendations; we help you to create a Spotify playlist and share it with us so you have maximum control of the entertainment
  • Midnight finish as standard

Additional Upgrade Options

We love doing something a little different, and wherever possible we will do whatever we can to accommodate special requests without additional costs to you. However, we do also offer some excellent add-on options.

Please contact Alive Network if you have an idea for something that is not offered here and we can provide a bespoke quote.:

  • Learn two additional songs - Sometimes one first dance just isn't enough. Perhaps there’s a song that’s special to your parents, the track that was the anthem to the whole stag weekend, or the song that all the Hens can’t stop singing every time they meet up. For just £90 Dirty Weekend will learn and perform two additional tracks at your event, allowing you to choose up to 3 songs including your complimentary first dance request.
  • The acoustic tent - No festival would be complete without the acoustic tent, and every wedding needs a little chill-out time in the early afternoon. For an additional £260 Dirty Weekend will arrive early at your event and provide a 45-minute set of dreamy acoustic pop classics, chilled Live Lounge-esque re-imaginings and summer time vibes. 4pm arrival as standard.
  • An additional festival set - Marriage may be about compromise, but on your wedding day you need to get your own way! If you just can’t decide between all the great festival sets, you can add an additional 40-minute performance for just £200. No early arrival time will be necessary here, timings can simply be arranged on your 3-week call.
  • Early arrival/late finish - if you need us to arrive early or finish later we charge an additional £120 per hour.
  • The Big Tamale - Maybe you're the kind of couple who can’t get enough live music. Maybe you need it all! For an additional £700 Dirty Weekend will arrive early to perform an acoustic set, and then follow it up with 5 x 40-minute live sets - our entire repertoire in one night! This option includes a 1am finish, which will normally be required just to fit in all that live music!

Questions & Concerns

Once you’ve decided we’re the right band for you, you can rest assured that your entertainment is in good hands. We’ll be in touch around 3 weeks before the big day to finalise the details, timings, song choices and any other queries you may have. In the run up to your event, you’ll have a dedicated event coordinator from our agency Alive Network who will be more than happy to liaise with you on any issues, questions or concerns.

What We'll Do At Your Wedding

Arrival, set up and soundcheck

Normal arrival time is 6pm and at that point there’s a good chance you will be either eating or doing speeches. For that reason we liaise with the event coordinator on arrival and arrange a discrete load-in so as not to disturb the end of your meal. Load-in and set-up takes anywhere between 60-90 mins depending on the proximity of our van to the performance area. Once everything is up and running we need an additional 30 minutes for soundcheck before we can begin our performance. We recommend scheduling first dance for around 8pm to ensure there is ample time.

1st live set

As soon as we are happy with the live sound of the band, we will start playing background music through the PA and get ourselves prepared for the first set. At some point we will need a meal; it’s normally easier to have it during set-up or just after (before the first dance), but it’s not a problem if it needs to be pushed back to the first break. We will send you an info pack explaining more about that 3 weeks before the event date.

After set up

We will come and find you and have a quick chat about your first dance. Its not unusual for people to be a bit nervous, so we make sure you're totally ready before announcing it and will normally encourage the audience to join you after a minute or two so you don't feel like you are on display the whole time. Some couples prefer to do the whole thing alone; that’s also fine, we will decide in advance what would make you happiest. After first dance, we will launch straight into one of the three festival sets you have chosen from our repertoire. 40 minutes later, we will break and immediately start playing music from a suitable playlist.

2nd live set

By this time guests should be pretty warmed up. It’s worth scheduling this set well after any kind of buffet or evening food because people don't dance well with a belly-full of Hog Roast, and they normally need some time to digest and chat.

3rd live set & end of the night

All of our festival sets are suitable for any time of the night as they are all designed with a natural climax towards the end, but of course we want the last set to be the big finale! Whichever set you have chosen we will normally include an encore if your guests are keen for more (we certainly hope so!). We recommend this set concludes approximately 30 minutes before the end of the night so that we have time for that, as well as some more of the DJ set for those people who still want to dance. This also means you can enjoy the end of the band’s last set before saying your goodbyes to all your guests and arranging carriages.

If you have any other questions or would like to discuss things with us in greater detail, please feel free to get in touch with our agent, Nick 0845 226 3177, who will be more than happy to discuss your requirements.
